“The End Has No End”

I absolutely feel the same way about conclusions. They are just so prominent in writing and people love good endings, but they are honestly the hardest part to write. Sometimes the best ideas and stories have the worst conclusions because they are so hard to write. It is just as hard to have a speech and have an ending conclusion because I, like most people, just forget where I want to go with it and just repeat yeah and um until I am just like please take me out coach. It’s even worse when you’re an author or just a writer and you sit there like how does one conclude so everyone will be happy.

Forgive me for stealing your song name, if any of the band members of the Strokes ever sees this. Julian, Albert, Fabrizio, Nick, and Nickolai, I’m sorry, even though you guys broke up a while ago. But I can’t help that it’s a great title.

As Orwell puts it,

“Writing a book is a horrible, exhausting struggle, like a long bout of some painful illness. One would never undertake such a thing if one were not driven on by some demon whom one can neither resist nor understand.”


A blog post has the potential to be just as similar. Especially when it comes to the conclusion. But I never really reach the conclusion. Writing is like reaching for something that gets farther away. Exhaustion poured out of every pore in Arryn’s body. She just got back from her last charge Margot Fox, who wanted to go to the masquerade ball that she was grounded from, from her parents. Can you say Cinderella much? But it wasn’t as bad as some of her other charges whose wishes went from getting their first kiss to world domination and anywhere in between.  It was exhausting to use her magic up to grant these wishes, well most of these wishes.
